Casa da Arquitectura will host the 7th edition of the Archi Summit!
Founded in 2007, Casa da Arquitectura is a non-profit cultural association dedicated to the dissemination and affirmation of architecture nationally and internationally.
Casa da Arquitectura aims to meet the need to have, in Portugal, an institution that welcomes, processes and makes accessible to all the different documentary collections of different architects, while promoting disciplinary reflections and bringing architecture to the knowledge and understanding of the general public.
Francesco Moncada and Mafalda Rangel are the curators of the 6th edition of the Archi Summit, a duo of architects by training who see their practice from different perspectives.
They seek to blur the boundaries between interior and exterior, informality and form, authenticity and globality, traditional and critical. After working in many countries, such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, UK, Netherlands, Norway, Dubai and Sweden, they moved to Syracuse, Italy, where they currently establish their practice.
Together they form the Moncada Rangel studio, which defines its architectural practice as an exploration of the spectrum of the possible in multiple territories.
+L7 Office for Architecture is the studio responsible for Archi Summit’s exhibition project for the 7th edition. Founded in 2019 by architect Luís Garcia, this young studio is based in São Paulo and Porto, and the goal within the office is to merge practice and research to achieve a flexible architecture that can be transformed over time.
The studio always tries to bring together disparate fields of knowledge such as technology, science, philosophy and sociology, for example, to be integrated into the thinking process.
